Technical Lead - Backend

As a Backend Engineering Team Lead at HaaNaa, your role involves leading and mentoring a team of backend engineers to design, architect, and implement scalable systems. You will ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security across all backend services. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architecting and building scalable, distributed backend systems capable of handling millions of users and real-time gaming functionalities. - Designing event-driven and microservices architectures using modern frameworks. - Implementing and managing APIs for seamless integration with the frontend and third-party services. - Defining and managing backend infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency. - Driving the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) for efficient deployments. - Designing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases for low-latency, high-throughput operations. - Implementing data pipelines for real-time and batch processing using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS Kinesis. - Managing user authentication systems (OAuth, JWT) and API security. - Working closely with the product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features and system enhancements. - Defining and implementing monitoring strategies using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic. **Qualifications Required:** - 6+ years of hands-on experience with strong expertise in backend development using Node.js, Java, and Golang. - Proficiency in building scalable APIs and working with frameworks like Express.js, Spring Boot, or Flask. - Expertise in both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Redis). - Proven track record of designing distributed and fault-tolerant systems for high availability. - Strong experience with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of building real-time systems using WebSockets, gRPC, or equivalent technologies. - Experience with game mechanics such as scoring, matchmaking, and leaderboards. - Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar tools for asynchronous processing. - Strong experience with unit testing frameworks and observability tools like New Relic or Grafana.
