Develop, implement, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and strategies for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to minimize downtime and data loss during disruptions. Review Business Impact Analysis (BIA) outcomes to align DR strategies with business needs. Design and manage backup and recovery procedures, ensuring all critical assets are regularly protected. Lead and coordinate disaster recovery tests, including full and partial interruptions, tracking results and recommending improvements. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including DR plans, procedures, contact lists, and recovery times, while providing regular test reports. Manage the technical response during incidents, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure effective recovery, including root cause analysis post-recovery. Monitor and continuously improve DR systems based on feedback, new technologies, and emerging threats. Ensure DR plans comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 22301). Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards, including data protection requirements, through audits and DR activities. Manage the ITDR calendar, tracking risk mitigation progress, treatment activities, and incident response. Collaborate with IT teams to assess recovery plans, maintain the critical asset list, and track progress against DR KPIs. Coordinate with the Business Continuity Management (BCM) group to test core IT systems and review ITDR policies. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (Certifications such as CBCP, DRI preferred). 3-5 years of experience in DR and IT systems administration. Expertise with DR tools (e.g., Veeam, Symantec, AWS, Azure), cloud-based solutions, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and backup technologies. Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure during recovery events. Familiarity with DR standards (ISO 27031, BS65000) and industry best practices. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, storage systems, and databases. Experience in root cause analysis and incident management.
