Technical Designer

Role Overview: At Gensler, you will play a crucial role as a Technical Designer with computational design capability in the Borderless Studio. You will be part of a team working on various urban projects at different scales, promoting and implementing BIM and digital modelling workflows. Your responsibilities will include advancing parametric design and computational analysis and contributing to the studio's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in all project phases from programming to detailed construction drawings - Collaborate with various stakeholders to meet project objectives - Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, plans, and elevations - Support project sustainability targets and engage in sustainable design strategies - Lead the implementation of parametric and computational workflows on projects - Manage design technology workflows and solutions for project-specific needs - Integrate design technology practices with project teams - Conduct climate-focused analysis and studies for each project - Optimize sustainability performance through design iterations and research Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent - 6+ years of related project experience - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Outstanding graphic presentation and written & verbal communication skills - Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software such as Revit, Rhino, Octane, etc. - Knowledge in sustainable design principles - LEED, WELL, Fitwel, LFA or other rating systems accreditation preferable - Collaborative and integrated approach towards achieving high sustainability project goals - Motivated to grow knowledge and experience in sustainability on a personal and team level Additional Company Details: At Gensler, the commitment to sustainability in the built environment is a core focus.
