Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Technical Architect/Lead to own the architecture and delivery of scalable, event-driven microservices solutions on Azure. You will leverage your deep expertise in Spring Boot and cloud streaming (Azure Event Hub/Kafka) to design robust systems, lead development teams, and drive technical excellence from concept to production. This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about building high-performance, cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, design, and implement scalable microservices-based solutions using Spring Boot and event-driven architectures with Azure Event Hub/Kafka.
Define integration patterns, manage partitions, offsets, and checkpoints for optimal streaming performance.
Design secure RESTful APIs, asynchronous communication systems, and cloud-native solutions using AKS, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and App Services.
Develop reference architectures, reusable components, and establish best practice frameworks for the team.
Lead by example through hands-on coding, developing POCs, conducting rigorous code reviews, and guiding teams on design patterns.
Collaborate with Product and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and build automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
Ensure system reliability, high availability, and fault tolerance; optimize Event Hub/Kafka throughput and consumer performance.
Implement comprehensive observability using Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
Mentor engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and participate in solution governance forums.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
10+ years
of software engineering experience with at least
5 years
in technical leadership or solution architecture roles.
Strong hands-on expertise
in
Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and RESTful API
development.
Minimum 3+ years of proven experience
with
Azure Event Hub, Apache Kafka, or similar event streaming platforms
.
Solid understanding of
microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and event sourcing
.
Hands-on experience with
Docker, Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
, and cloud-native development.
Working knowledge of key
Azure services
: Key Vault, Application Insights, Azure Functions, App Services.
Strong experience in building and maintaining
CI/CD pipelines
and automation frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with DevOps, Security, and Product teams.

Preferred Skills:

Azure Solutions Architect or similar cloud certification.
Experience with other cloud providers (AWS, GCP).
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
