Tech Junior

As a Tech Junior at our company based in Mumbai, your role will involve assisting the Technology Department in supporting the production staff. We are seeking bright, motivated individuals with a passion for working within the VFX industry. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing OS installation and support for Linux, OSX, and Windows systems. - Providing direct workstation support to all employees, including smooth moves between rooms, floors, and sites. - Managing and fulfilling requests for peripherals like monitors, keyboards, and tablets. - Handling storage, sourcing, and delivery of equipment to and from employees. - Collaborating with vendors such as Dell and HP for part replacements. - Utilizing a ticketing system to log and report technical issues. - Ensuring image quality control through tasks like monitor and projector calibrations. - Supporting the Technology Department with day-to-day tasks. - Providing assistance with GWS tools like Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet, Zoom, and Polycom. To be successful in this role, you should have: - Excellent customer service and communication skills in English. - Computer literacy, with the ability to set up and dismantle basic workstations. - A professional and friendly phone manner. Additionally, it would be nice to have: - A degree in Computers or IT. - Experience with creative applications such as Maya, Houdini, or Nuke. - Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and OSX. - Experience working remotely using VPN, Anyware PCoIP, or NoMachine.,
