You will be working as a Technical Coordinator in Investment Operations Outsourcing, Market Operations at Northern Trust. Your role will involve providing deep technical expertise in market operations, resolving complex operational issues, and driving process improvements. You will act as the subject matter expert, working closely with internal teams, clients, oversight, and technology partners to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance. Your responsibilities will include: - Being the go-to expert for trade, cash, forex, transitions, and settlements across multiple asset classes - Supporting trade processing activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory changes - Identifying inefficiencies and proposing automation solutions - Leveraging data analytics to reduce trade failures and stay updated on market standards - Acting as the key point of contact for various stakeholders and providing training to junior partners - Assisting in implementing internal controls to minimize operational risks and driving automation initiatives - Taking a proactive approach to problem-solving and following through on issues To be successful in this role, you should have 4-7 years of experience in banking and investment operations, a strong understanding of trade lifecycle and regulatory requirements, and a degree in finance, economics, or business. You should also have proficiency in industry tools such as Bloomberg, SWIFT, and DTCC, along with soft skills like analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
