Location: Rajpura - Punjab

Purpose - Why does this role exist?

To ensure compliance, inter alia, with all Indirect Tax Laws and Incentives under State and Central Schemes.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage GST compliance, including calculations, filings, audits, assessments, appeals, and tax analysis for transactions and plant acquisitions.
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, and teams to provide tax advisory, training, and guidance on compliance and best practices, including GST.
• Statutory Audit queries, Eligibility of ITC, RCM applicability, Latest GST updates and case laws, customer queries
• Tax structuring and restructuring
• Dealing with different internal teams & advising day to day business activities
• Handling litigation under erstwhile Excise, Service Tax, VAT regimes. Co-ordination with the consultants and advocates in relation thereto.
• Preparation of response to SCNs issued by GST authorities
• Preparation of draft appeals Attending appeal hearings and handling taxation authorities Work on state incentive points
• Ensure accounting on time. Amendment in GST registrations.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory to optimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all tax laws.
• Coordinate with tax authorities during assessments, audits, and inquiries.
• Analyse the impact of tax laws on business transactions and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain updated knowledge of changes in GST laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards.

Qualification & Work Experience

Qualification: C.A (Chartered Accountant)

Work Experience: 4 -5 Years

Others: Candidates having work experience with Steel & other relevant industry shall be preferred.
