Team Member - Civil Design

Purpose/Objective

The role of a project Engineer is to assist Lead Engineer for ensuring Civil Engineering deliverables available in time . Job includes reviewing design drawings, co-ordinating with the designers & consultants.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Coordinate and consult the team of engineers and designers for performing Structural analysis, design and subsequent drawing release for structures such as Entry and Exit Gantry, Roller, Inspection and Repair Tables, Weighing saddle for Coil Dividing Line, platforms for SMS Caster etc. Preparing complete reports & documents on design using STAAD outputs and Excel sheets. Analysis & Design of Greenfield-Pipe racks, Pipe sleepers structures & foundations and Brownfield pipe racks. Coordination with draftsman to transform designs to working drawing. Interaction with PMC client for the approval of all design related documents & drawings Coordinating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability. Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests. Handle the site engineering request; Review of detailed drawings prepared by vendors. Inter departmental interaction for clearance of the drawings and for getting inputs. Assist in the implementation of all 'project close-out' tasks and document the lessons learned.

Technical Competencies

Experience in to Civil Designing of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemocal Industry,Proficiency in Civil Engineering Software Packages,Detail Design exposure,Codes and Standards

Qualifications and Experience

B. Tech / B.E in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute/ university. Masters degree in the same is preferred. Minimum 10-15 years of work experience with 5 years of relevant experience in the similar role in a large/ mid sized organization.
