Team Manager HVDC C&P - Protection team

As a candidate for the position at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in building a strong team that leads in technology and business development, drives market direction, and brings profitability for continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include: - Resource planning for the medium to long term, allocating resources based on tender and project forecasts in collaboration with the global organization. - Ensuring departmental KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, and productivity are met to achieve financial budgets. - Reviewing and approving techno-economic offerings in tenders/projects, assessing risks and opportunities, and conducting routine reviews with project teams, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers. - Recruiting personnel as per the headcount budget and ensuring compliance with HITACHI Energy Group standards for integrity, health, and safety. - Improving processes as necessary, providing technical support, and contributing to the team's development. - Conducting personnel assessments and reviews, setting targets for direct reports, identifying development areas, and implementing development plans while ensuring succession planning and team motivation. - Participating in strategic initiatives, developing local strategy, and planning for future expansion and competence development. - Driving operational development for the local organization and ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background should include: - Holding a bachelor's degree. - Having a minimum of 13+ years of experience in Control & Protection Engineering Design & Operation. - Possessing knowledge and skills in Power Systems and Control, as well as Protection. - Demonstrating proficiency in process structuring, process management, and Office tools. - Being a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through to completion. - Exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills.
