The ideal candidate must be a B.Ed graduate with a strong foundation in Environmental Science and the ability to teach both young learners and older students effectively, in alignment with the ICSE curriculum. The teacher will be responsible for fostering an appreciation for the environment, helping students understand environmental concepts, and developing eco-friendly practices. Key Responsibilities: Primary Level (Grade 1): Plan and deliver age-appropriate Environmental Science lessons to Grade 1 students, focusing on basic concepts such as plants, animals, natural resources, and the environment. Use hands-on activities, visual aids, and interactive learning techniques to engage young students and make environmental concepts easier to understand. Introduce students to the importance of nature, sustainability, and the environment through creative and fun learning activities. Assess students progress through simple projects, activities, and quizzes. Encourage environmental awareness and eco-friendly habits in students at an early age. Higher School Level (ICSE Curriculum): Plan and deliver in-depth Environmental Science lessons to higher school students, focusing on topics such as ecosystems, pollution, climate change, renewable resources, and environmental conservation. Incorporate fieldwork, experiments, and projects to provide real-world learning experiences. Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills by encouraging students to explore environmental issues and come up with solutions. Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, presentations, and exams. Provide individual guidance to students needing additional help with Environmental Science concepts. Organize extracurricular activities, such as eco-clubs, nature walks, and environmental awareness campaigns, to enhance students' understanding of environmental issues. Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with other teachers to create an integrated approach to teaching Environmental Science. Stay updated on the latest environmental science trends and incorporate new methods and technologies into lessons. Promote eco-friendly practices and a sustainable lifestyle among students both inside and outside the classroom. Required Qualifications and Skills: B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized institution (Mandatory). A degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Previous experience in teaching Environmental Science at both primary (Grade 1) and higher school levels, preferably within the ICSE curriculum. Strong knowledge of environmental concepts, both basic and advanced. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage students with various learning styles and foster a love for the environment and sustainability. Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about teaching Environmental Science.
