Role & responsibilities

Direct Taxation:

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of income tax returns (ITR), TDS returns, and advance tax payments.
• Manage tax assessments, appeals, and represent the organization before tax authorities.
• Provide advisory on corporate income tax matters, including tax planning and impact analysis.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and implement required changes in internal systems/processes.
• Handle transfer pricing documentation and reporting requirements (if applicable).
• Liaise with statutory auditors and tax consultants for tax audits and related disclosures.

Indirect Taxation:

• Oversee end-to-end GST compliance including registrations, monthly/annual return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
• Manage input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and ensure appropriate classification of goods/services under HSN/SAC.
• Coordinate GST audits, assessments, and litigations.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of transactions, especially for cross-state and export/import scenarios.
• Ensure timely payment of GST, professional tax, and other applicable indirect taxes.
• Monitor changes in GST law, rules, and notifications and ensure proper implementation.
