Tax Associate

As an Associate - Tax at Occams Advisory, you will play a crucial role in supporting the U.S.-based financial operations by ensuring tax compliance and accurate reporting. Your meticulous and proactive approach, combined with deep knowledge of tax and accounting principles, will contribute to the success of our high-performance culture. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver a comprehensive range of U.S. tax services, including 1040, 1120, and 1065 filings, while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. - Review and manage tax returns and supporting work papers in adherence to U.S. tax laws. - Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients throughout the tax engagement lifecycle. - Prepare precise financial records in strict compliance with US GAAP. - Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and general ledger review. - Generate and present financial reports and performance analyses to senior leadership. - Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting processes. - Foster strong client relationships through reliable service and strategic financial guidance. - Collaborate with U.S. counterparts to resolve accounting issues and align on financial and tax matters. - Stay updated on changes in U.S. taxation to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. **Required Qualifications & Experience:** - Education: Chartered Accountant; preferred professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent. - Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in accounting roles with exposure to US GAAP and taxation, including expertise in 1065 and 1120 returns. - Technical Skills: Strong understanding and practical application of US GAAP, proficiency in tax and accounting software, exceptional analytical and organizational skills, and proficiency in English communication. - Preferred Skills: Strong academic background with top-quartile results.
