Tax Analyst 2

As a valued member of the Enterprise Operations & Technology team at Citi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include executing various functions related to Tax Information Reporting (TIR), such as tax form validation, withholding, information reporting, legal entity maintenance, and governance. Additionally, you will serve as a tax information reporting specialist, potentially leading a team to carry out operational and project initiatives effectively. Your expertise as a subject matter expert in tax information reporting will be key as you migrate work into our centralized hub and develop best practices to ensure compliance with Information Reporting, FATCA, and/or CRS requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders to support the Service Delivery model, participate in process re-engineering activities to enhance controls and efficiency, and provide tax technical perspective to Technology projects. Furthermore, you will support audits by tax authorities and Internal Audit, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements. To excel in this role, you should have a basic understanding of U.S. tax information reporting rules applicable to U.S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons, as well as familiarity with IRS Forms W-9, W-8, 1098, 1099 series, 1042-S, 945, and 1042. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with key stakeholders, and the ability to analyze processes and procedures, along with experience in Process Re-engineering, will be valuable. You will be expected to hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required.
