Tandem Developer

You will be joining a talented team responsible for maintaining the FIS Flagship Transaction Debit Processing Switch; Connex on HP Nonstop. Leveraging the Safe Agile framework, you will provide innovative data solutions that drive real business value to both internal and external customers. As a multifaceted HP NonStop/Tandem platform software Developer cum SRE, you will have a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities in both application development and site reliability engineering roles. Working within a scrum team, you will collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and quality control testers. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, modifying, and unit testing software enhancements and/or new products. You will also be involved in defining system requirements and modifications with product managers and/or users. Additionally, you will create and revise technical documentation, train new or junior developers, and participate in all Agile team meetings and ceremonies. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Connex or Base24 Development. Experience with HP NonStop/Tandem development, TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, Pathway, Enscribe, SQL systems, and Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe) is required. Attention to detail, diligence, accuracy, exceptional customer service skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, time management abilities, and a proactive approach are essential. You will be expected to ensure application reliability, availability, and performance, lead incident response, collaborate with security teams, develop disaster recovery plans and backup strategies, manage deployment pipelines, and provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.
