Tableau Developer

Role & responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Tableau reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on business

requirements.

- Convert existing Hadoop supported sql in Tableau dashboards/data sources into Databricks

supported sql.

-Work experience on  Databricks and Hadoop is an advantage.

-Experience on Tableau prep

-Hands-on experience on Tableau metadata, knowledge on GraphQl and Tableau Rest APIs

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into

Tableau solutions.

- Perform data analysis and data modeling to identify and extract relevant data from multiple

sources.

- Optimize Tableau performance by fine-tuning data queries, aggregations, and calculations.

- Create and manage Tableau metadata, including data sources, connections, and security

settings.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau reports, data sources, and performance.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, functionalities, and best practices.

- Train end-users on how to effectively use Tableau for data analysis and reporting.

- Collaborate with other team members, such as data engineers and business analysts, to

ensure data integrity and consistency.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Tableau Developer with hands-on experience in SQL and Tableau

metadata.

- In-depth knowledge of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.

- Strong understanding of SQL and experience in writing complex SQL queries.

- Proficiency in data modeling, data analysis, and data visualization best practices.

- Familiarity with database concepts and experience working with different database systems.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with

stakeholders.

- Tableau certification(s) is a plus.
