Role Description

This is a contract, remote role for a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing system configuration and maintenance, ensuring the stability and security of system environments, and providing daily operational support to end-users. Key tasks include managing cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting system issues, executing backup and recovery processes, and continuously optimizing system performance. The role also involves implementing best practices for governance and collaborating cross-functionally with technical teams to support business continuity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in system configuration, administration, and maintenance
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of IT security, system monitoring, and backup/recovery processes
• Hands-on expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools and automation
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
• Certifications like CompTIA, AWS Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
