System Operator (Networking & Hardware)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled System Operator with strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and system operations. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting IT systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of networks, servers, and connected devices. The role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, system optimization, and providing user support.

Key Responsibilities

System Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT assets.
• Ensure systems, hardware, and networks are running efficiently with minimal downtime.
• Manage routine system backups, updates, and maintenance.

Networking & Connectivity

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues, IP conflicts, and network performance problems.
• Ensure data security and access control through proper configuration.

Hardware Maintenance

• Install, upgrade, and repair desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose hardware issues and coordinate repairs or replacements when required.
• Maintain inventory of IT hardware and spare components.

System Administration

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access.
• Ensure antivirus, patches, and security updates are installed.
• Provide support for operating systems (Windows/Linux) and basic server management.

Technical Support

• Respond to and resolve IT support requests from users.
• Document and track issues, solutions, and maintenance logs.
• Train staff on basic troubleshooting and IT best practices.
• Follow IT policies, data security protocols, and backup procedures.
• Generate reports on system health, network usage, and downtime incidents.
• Suggest improvements for system reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Any field, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: 1–3 years in system operations, hardware support, or networking roles (Fresher with strong skills can also apply).

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components & troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi management.
• Experience with Windows/Linux OS and basic server administration.
• Knowledge of firewalls, switches, and routers configuration.
• Familiarity with backup solutions and system monitoring tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
