System Engineering Manager - Electrical Power Systems

Role Overview: As an Electrical System Engineering Expert and Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful engineering and execution of the Electrical Power Systems (EPS) for Hydro Power Projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, starting from single-line diagram creation to ensuring compliance with standards and regulations for systems up to 500kV. You will be fully responsible for system-related engineering, costs, schedule, quality, and delivery targets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to accelerate project timelines while maintaining the highest quality standards will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and drive continuous process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop/review single-line diagrams, perform load flow analysis, and conduct short-circuit calculations/studies. - Review both basic and detailed engineering of Electrical Power Systems for Hydro Power Projects, covering a wide range of equipment and systems. - Review equipment sizing calculations to ensure alignment with project requirements. - Clarify design details with customers, support procurement and project management teams during negotiations. - Prioritize customer satisfaction and maintain a focus on quality. - Document and report deviations promptly, provide inputs for claim and risk management. - Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and offer technical solutions during project phases. - Interface with cross-functional teams and suppliers to expedite project progress. - Drive continuous improvement efforts in engineering processes and seek design optimizations. - Take ownership of projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring project-specific requirements are met. - Provide mentorship to junior design engineers. - Monitor and enforce adherence to design schedules for timely delivery. - Ensure adherence to standards and quality assurance requirements. Qualification Requirements: - Qualification: BE/ BTech in Electrical Engineering. - Location: Flexible for Base Location (Delhi/Bhopal). - Experience: 15-20 years.
