System Engineering Manager Electrical Power Systems

As an Electrical System Engineering Expert and Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful engineering and execution of the Electrical Power Systems (EPS) for Hydro Power Projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, starting from single-line diagram creation to ensuring compliance with standards and regulations for systems up to 500kV. You will be fully responsible for system-related engineering, costs, schedule, quality, and delivery targets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate project timelines while maintaining the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and drive continuous process improvement initiatives. Your primary job responsibilities will include: - Developing and reviewing single-line diagrams, performing load flow analysis, and conducting short-circuit calculations/studies. - Reviewing both basic and detailed engineering of Electrical Power Systems for Hydro Power Projects, covering various components such as switchgear, transformers, busducts, cabling systems, and more. - Ensuring equipment sizing calculations align with project requirements and addressing any technical queries from customers. - Prioritizing customer satisfaction, focusing on cost and quality, and reporting any deviations promptly for mitigation. - Demonstrating troubleshooting skills and providing technical solutions during project phases. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities and project progress. - Driving continuous improvement efforts in engineering processes and design optimizations. - Handling projects independently from concept to commissioning, meeting specific project requirements. - Mentoring junior design engineers and monitoring adherence to design schedules for timely delivery. - Ensuring adherence to standards, quality assurance, and relevant industry regulations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech) in Electrical Engineering. - 15-20 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in engineering software like ETAP, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, technical project management skills, knowledge of national and international standards, and leadership and mentorship capabilities.
