To do this, they leverage strong technical knowledge of our existing portfolio, deep understanding of the technologies, standards and protocols within an industry or end equipment, and an ability to engage with customers and translate their requirements into technical specifications that will solve their problems. Systems engineers also partner closely with marketing and applications engineers, as well as design teams, to ensure our roadmap is both meeting customer and market requirements and is technically optimized and manufacturable at a price and cost point that makes sense for the business.This role is for the position of Systems Engineer within the Transceivers (TRX) product line in the Interface Business Unit. The TRX team is seeking an innovative, collaborative, self-driven, and passionate individual to own our industrial interfaces (RS-485/232, Power Bus, IO-Link) roadmap, new product definition, and strategy.We are looking to hire an experienced systems engineer to drive new unique and complex product definitions, product roadmaps including PPIT needs, and top customer engagements for both more ASSPs (Application-specific standard products) as well as cost optimized general purpose products. The individual would need to be able to gain a deep understand of the customer use case, drive tradeoff discussion with design, work closely with marketing/applications for customer engagement and projected ROI, as well as work across the team to ensure new product success. And of course work closely with customers to develop a deep understanding of industrial protocols/standards and align TRXs roadmap to emerging customer trends/inflection points.

- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal IC&aposs and their applications
- Strong communication skills, be able to explain complex ideas simply, but dive into the details as necessary
- Understanding of key markets, mainly industrial (industrial automation, appliances, building automation, robotics)
- Understand of key standards; RS-485/232, PowerBus, IO-Link
- Ability to work in collaborate effectively with people in different functions across multiple sites (India and US)
- Familiarity with lab equipment
- Willing to travel to customer sites on a quarterly basis

- Systems-level expertise to have a clear understanding of the various signal chain subsystems in a customer design
- Expertise in industrial applications, related to relevant protocols
- ownership mentality to drive results with initiative
- System level design/architecting experience
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
