Job Description

Greetings from Savista!!

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Desktop Support

    : Provide comprehensive support for desktop hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolution.
  • System Maintenance

    : Oversee WSUS updates, manage file services, and perform routine system maintenance.
  • Antivirus and Security:

    Troubleshoot and resolve antivirus issues, manage security updates, and handle access and file services management.
  • Asset Management:

    Maintain and update asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of hardware and software.
  • Network Configuration

    : Manage and configure network printers, FTP clients, and proxy servers; resolve basic network connectivity issues related to desktops.
  • Active Directory

    : Administer Active Directory, including user and group management.
  • Backup and Restore:

    Perform backup and restore operations using Veritas Backup Exec.
  • System Monitoring:

    Monitor server performance, analyze server logs, and address potential issues. Collaboration: Work with other IT teams to support integration projects, system upgrades, and deployments.
  • Compliance

    : Ensure systems comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certifications:

    Microsoft Certifications related to infrastructure or cloud administration (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate). Legacy certifications such as MCSE (Core Infrastructure) are acceptable but role based certifications are preferred.
  • Additional certifications in ITIL or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Experience

    : 4-6 years of total IT experience, with at least 2 years in a System Administrator role or equivalent .
  • Skills:

  • Proficiency with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Basic understanding of server configuration, file systems, and
  • storage concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of network devices (e.g., switches, routers) and network configurations.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (incident and change management).
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT support tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Advance problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
