Job Description

Job Summary:

The Syrup Operator will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and handling beverage syrups as per approved formulations and quality standards. The role ensures accurate batching, adherence to food safety standards, and smooth support to production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate syrup preparation equipment (mixing tanks, filters, pumps, CIP systems, etc.) efficiently and safely.
  • Prepare syrups according to standard recipes, formulations, and production schedules.
  • Ensure correct weighing, measuring, and mixing of ingredients (sugar, concentrates, additives, flavors, etc.).
  • Monitor and maintain process parameters such as temperature, mixing time, and concentration levels.
  • Perform filtration, transfer, and storage of syrup in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine checks of syrup quality (Brix, pH, taste, clarity, microbiological safety, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and material usage reports.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization (CIP) of tanks, lines, and related equipment.
  • Follow

    GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSAI

    guidelines for food safety and quality.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) for syrup testing and approval before release to production.
  • Report any deviations, breakdowns, or quality issues to the Production Supervisor immediately.
  • Assist in inventory management of raw materials, concentrates, and chemicals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    ITI / Diploma in Food Technology, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field.
  • Experience:

    14 years in syrup preparation, mixing, or beverage production (preferably carbonated or non-carbonated drinks).
  • Knowledge of syrup room operations, batching processes, and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with process equipment (mixing tanks, pumps, filters, CIP system).
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, batch sheets, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail, hygiene practices, and record-keeping.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
