Focus on systems and processes to improve productivity and quality whilst supporting the implementation of world class manufacturing techniques into the organization. Drives the development, planning, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and/or existing products and technologies. LFL is planning for a significant growth within the next 5 years, and our Indian plant (LLIPL) is the center piece for this growth plan driving productivity, cost savings and throughput. Assistant Purchasing Manager will be responsible for creating and excellent purchasing function which will enable LLIPL to move towards next level. Job Dimensions This is a full-time onsite role based in our Indian plant (Vadodara, Gujarat). This is a full-time onsite role based in our Indian plant (Vadodara, Gujarat). This role reports to operations manager of the business based in India. Oversee and direct the planning of expansion, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new or existing products after expansion. Key activities of this role will include the following: Working with Contractor on day-to-day expansion work to meet the timeline of expansion Project Health & Safety – adherence to all Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices during expansion Project plan for new Set up work instruction for new product development. Prepared Project Plan for all upcoming new Manufacturing line Semiconductors and other which are going to be shifted from U.K to India Maintain Proper 5S during the expansion Smoothly transfer of Machines as per new layout without stoppage of Production line. Ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing practices. Working closely with different departments like operations, production, and finance to understand their needs and align procurement activities accordingly. Qualifications, Experience & Skills A minimum 2-3 years’ experience within expansion Project Plan, Expansion plan Experience in working in a manufacturing environment, especially electrical circuit protection would be a major advantage. Experience in working in low voltage and medium voltage components. Education: Ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification preferably a Diploma in relevant discipline. Strong negotiation skills: Expertise in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve favourable terms. Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills. High level of initiative with the ability to self-motivate. Works well independently and in team settings Good written and spoken English Exceptional organisational and time management skills Experience in collaborating with global cross-cultural teams. Strong computer skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft office and other related business systems. Exposure to modelling tools will be helpful (e.g., Solid Works, Ansys etc) Effective communication Skill with both internal stakeholders.
