General Accounting Responsibilities:Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing necessary documentation and journal entries.Provide support in the transition from cash accounting to accrual accounting, including identifying gaps and implementing best practices.Ensure adherence to both US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, maintaining consistency and accuracy in reporting.Work closely with internal stakeholders to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and address any operational challenges.Suggest fiscally efficient strategies for saving money Review financial statements and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.Assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring that local and international tax requirements are met.Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process and ensure timely resolution of any audit issues.Stay updated on changes to accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that the company remains compliant.Collaborate with the US accounting team to ensure smooth communication and reporting between teams based in different countries.Assist in maintaining robust internal control systems to safeguard the companys assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Serve as backup for reviewing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, and collections.India Entity Accounting Responsibilities:Perform bookkeeping dutiesPrepare Monthly Budget for India OfficeOversee financial transactions and maintain ledgers for India entityReview and ensure tax compliance for India operations, including GST, TDS, and other statutory obligations. Liaise with external CPA firm to ensure compliance with India accounting, payroll and tax requirements are met on timePrepare financial and management reports as required by the senior management, both for internal and regulatory purposes.Administrative & Office Management Responsibilities:Work closely with Head of India to oversee daily office operations, including managing office supplies, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a smooth workflow.Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical, for financial and administrative documents.Support the management of office budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost efficiency.Assist with internal communication, keeping the team informed of relevant financial or operational updates.Customer Support Responsibilities: Occasionally serve as backup for our IT service desk during busy seasons Answer incoming client calls, exercise concierge level of customer service while creating tickets in accordance with each client’s specific needs. Required Qualifications & Skills:Educations: Education at the primary, secondary, or tertiary level from an institution where English is the primary medium of instructionUniversity Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited UniversityCertified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of exposure to US GAAP.Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and accrual accounting.Experience in handling Indian tax compliance (GST, Income Tax, etc.).Experience in handling accounting for US-based clients or companies. Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and financial accounting principles.Knowledge of International Tax Laws a plus Expertise in Quickbooks or similar accounting software Proficiency in Office 365, Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.Key Competencies:Excellent communication skills for cross-border collaboration.Strong verbal and written English skills.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking abilities.Solid Technical knowledge and research skillsWork Environment:Collaboration with teams across different time zones, Ability to work late shifts to synchronize with the US team (Eastern time zone).Willing to be on a rotating schedule for on-call for company’s IT operations (training provided)Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Perks and benefits
