Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Sybase databases ensuring high availability and performance.
Monitor database performance, tune queries, and optimize system efficiency.
Manage database security, user roles, and permissions to protect sensitive data.
Perform regular backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning.
Troubleshoot database issues, resolve performance bottlenecks, and maintain data integrity.
Support database upgrades, patching, and system maintenance activities.
Work with development teams on database design, schema changes, and deployment support.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

6+ years of hands-on experience as a Sybase DBA.
Strong expertise in database administration, architecture, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in backup, recovery, and high availability configurations.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues.
Understanding of database security and access control.
Ability to work in hybrid or distributed IT environments.
