Job Title: Indian Sweets Chef (Mithai Chef / Halwai)
Location: Muradnagar, GZB, UP/ India] +Employment Type: [Full-time]
Salary upto 20,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Sweets Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing a variety of traditional and contemporary Indian sweets (mithai), including milk-based, syrup-based, fried, and dry varieties. The role involves recipe preparation, quality control, hygiene compliance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a wide variety of Indian sweets such as Gulab Jamun, Rasgulla, Jalebi, Ladoo, Barfi, Kaju Katli, Rasmalai, etc.
  • Innovate and introduce new mithai varieties or fusion desserts, depending on seasonal trends or customer demand.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Monitor inventory and manage ingredients and kitchen supplies efficiently.
  • Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are strictly followed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management for special events, bulk orders, or festivals.
  • Maintain equipment and tools used in sweet preparation.
  • Provide input on menu design and costing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Indian sweets chef or halwai.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian sweet-making techniques.
  • Ability to handle large-scale production without compromising quality.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and during festival periods when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in both North and South Indian sweet varieties is a plus.
  • Formal culinary training or certification (optional but appreciated).
  • Knowledge of food preservation and storage techniques.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Standing for long periods.
  • Handling hot equipment and materials.
