Role Overview: As a SW Embedded Linux Android Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be part of a multi-skilled IOT platform team working on various Linux based operating systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop features for Android and Linux/Ubuntu based Snapdragon products. You will contribute to the end-to-end software execution of Qualcomm SoC-based IOT products, ensuring timely delivery of competitive products with high functionality, stability, and performance. Collaboration with geographically distributed core & execution teams will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Work as part of a multi-skilled IOT platform team across different tech areas on various Linux based operating systems. - Develop features for Android and Linux/Ubuntu based Snapdragon products. - Contribute to the end-to-end software execution of Qualcomm SoC based IOT products. - Ensure on-time delivery of competitive products with respect to functionality, stability, and performance. - Collaborate closely with geographically distributed core & execution teams across time-zones. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - 3-6 years of strong development experience with C/C++ and good programming skills. - Hands-on experience with Android and/or Ubuntu, with an understanding of Linux related concepts like systemd, SELinux, Snaps, Sandboxing, Container, Docker, etc. - Good understanding of Linux kernel and internals. - Knowledge of SOC systems and related concepts, including bring-up. - Understanding of Multimedia subsystems like Camera, Video, Audio, Display, and Graphics. - Strong troubleshooting skills for software and system issues. - Experience with the full software development life cycle including design, implementation, deployment, and support. - Aptitude for quick learning, self-motivation, and willingness to explore various technology areas. - Deductive problem-solving skills and good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
