Sustainable Investment Data Ops Analyst

We are looking for a motivated ESG Data Quality Analyst to become a part of our expanding Sustainable Investment Data Ops team based in Bangalore. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a new function that focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of ESG data utilized in FTSE's Sustainable Index products. Your main responsibilities will include conducting quarterly reviews of data inputs and outputs from various in-house and third-party ESG datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. You will be tasked with investigating and addressing data anomalies and exceptions with data vendors while upholding a high level of due diligence. Additionally, producing exception trend reports to facilitate ongoing data quality monitoring and improvement will be a crucial part of your role. You will also play a key role in evaluating new ESG datasets, including vendor due diligence and data coverage analysis. Collaborating with data Engineers and the Product Team to enhance systems and processes will be essential. This position will require you to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with large-scale ESG data sets. To be successful in this role, you should possess at least 2 years of experience working with ESG/Sustainable Investment data. A strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills is essential. Experience in vendor management and exception handling would be advantageous. The ability to work with large, complex datasets and systems is required. While experience or familiarity with SQL and Python is a plus, it is not mandatory. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively articulate data quality issues and collaborate across teams and with vendors. A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about ESG data and systems are also desired traits.
