Job Description

As a Sushi Chef, your role will involve specializing in creating sushi dishes in Japanese restaurants. You will be responsible for making bite-size hand-pressed rolls of vinegared rice topped with seafood or stuffed with fish, vegetables, fruits, eggs, or seaweed. Your main duty will be to ensure all ingredients are fresh and to observe traditional Japanese sushi-making standards. Key Responsibilities: - Create a variety of sushi dishes in accordance with traditional Japanese recipes - Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality - Hand-press rice into bite-size rolls and top with seafood or fill with fish, vegetables, fruits, eggs, or seaweed - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area - Work efficiently to meet customer demand during peak dining hours Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10 years of total work experience, with a preference for experience in sushi preparation - Knowledge of traditional Japanese sushi-making techniques - Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment - Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes,
