Job Description

1. Surveying & Data Collection:

  • Conduct topographical, boundary, and route surveys using total station, GPS, auto level, and drone (if applicable).
  • Establish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and reference points along the project corridor.
  • Collect and record data for road alignment, profile, cross-sections, drainage structures, and other features.

2. Construction Support:

  • Set out alignments, centerlines, and levels for earthworks, pavement layers, culverts, bridges, and other structures.
  • Verify and check contractor’s work against approved drawings and survey data.
  • Ensure proper transfer of levels and coordinates from design to site.

3. Data Management & Reporting:

  • Process survey data using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other GIS tools.
  • Prepare survey reports, field books, and as-built drawings.
  • Maintain records of all survey data and ensure proper backup.

4. Coordination & Compliance:

  • Coordinate with design, construction, and quality teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Adhere to MoRTH/IRC specifications and project-specific standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures during survey operations.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Check calibration of survey instruments regularly.
  • Verify subcontractor survey results for accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5–8 years (depending on level) in road or highway construction projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Total Station, DGPS, Auto Level.
  • Knowledge of survey software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LISCAD, Trimble Business Center, etc.).
  • Understanding of highway design drawings, cross-sections, and construction processes.
  • Other Skills:
  • Attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in field conditions and meet deadlines.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) or MoRTH projects.
  • Knowledge of IRC standards and survey codes of practice.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
