The Regulatory Filtering Analyst position at Deutsche Bank in Bangalore, India, plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all sanctions and embargoes regulations. The role involves reviewing, confirming, and making decisions on stopped messages related to transactions, in alignment with applicable Sanctions regulations and the Bank's policies. The analyst is responsible for executing internal control checks, updating embargo lists in filtering systems, and supporting the CoC Regulatory Filtering team on the adoption of new clients. Key Responsibilities: - Supporting the RTB team lead in mitigating legal, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with business dealings involving sanctioned entities or countries. - Reviewing and confirming transactions that require escalation to a Level 2 investigator, ensuring compliance with regulations and bank policies. - Performing internal control checks as per defined documentation and framework governed by AFC Sanction & Embargo. - Assisting in reporting obligations to competent authorities regarding transaction handling. - Updating embargo lists in filtering systems and implementing data in GT and Operations tools. - Collaborating with CoC Regulatory Filtering team on onboarding new clients. Key Accountabilities: - Reviewing stopped messages and making decisions based on predefined rules provided by AFC. - Documenting rationale for decisions from a set of options. - Seeking feedback from senior investigators/reviewers when necessary. - Supporting filter optimization by identifying repeat mismatches and proposing solutions. - Ensuring authorized use of user access privileges and safeguarding sensitive information. Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in Sanctions and Regulatory Filtering. - Familiarity with SWIFT Message Format and Fields. - Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Effective written and verbal communication. - Willingness to work rotational shifts and weekends.
