Surgical Oncologist

As a Surgical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in the treatment of cancer patients by performing surgeries in organs such as the breast, GI tract, head & neck, and more. Your responsibilities will include managing the pre and post-operative care of oncology patients, participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards, ensuring surgical margins and proper tissue handling for biopsies, as well as counseling patients and discussing surgical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Perform surgeries for cancer treatment in organs such as breast, GI tract, head & neck, and more - Manage pre and post-operative care of oncology patients - Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards - Ensure surgical margins and proper tissue handling for biopsy - Counsel patients and discuss surgical outcomes Types of Surgeries you may perform include: - Mastectomy, Lumpectomy (Breast) - Colectomy, Whipple (GI) - Neck dissection, Laryngectomy (Head & Neck) - Radical Hysterectomy (Gynae) - Lobectomy, Esophagectomy (Thoracic) Qualifications Required: - MCh/DNB Surgical Oncology or MS with oncology experience Kindly note that the above qualifications and responsibilities are indicative, and you may be required to perform additional duties as per the needs of the healthcare facility.,
