Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review operative reports and assign accurate
CPT
,
ICD-10-CM
, and
HCPCS
codes for a wide range of surgical specialties (General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc.).
Apply coding guidelines for multiple providers and complex surgeries.
Identify bundling and unbundling issues; apply modifier usage accurately (e.g., -59, -51, -LT/RT).
Use EMR and coding tools (e.g., 3M, EncoderPro, Optum360).
Maintain accuracy (?95%) and productivity standards as per project requirements.

Qualifications:

Graduate in Life Sciences / Allied Health preferred.
Certification: CPC or CCS required; COC preferred.
Must have solid understanding of operative note components and coding rules.
