Surface Engineer

Demonstrates a proven working knowledge of various technical principles, within a specific engineering discipline as well as basic knowledge of these elements in other disciplines.

Uses judgment based on practice and precedence.

Has ability to apply knowledge to resolve issues of moderate scope and complexity using proven approaches and techniques.

No supervisory responsibility but provides informal guidance and support to new team members.

Develops understanding of team concepts, soliciting, promoting, and encouraging member s ideas, goals and efforts.

Must be able to exchange ideas and information effectively in a concise and logical way and be sensitive to audience diversity.

Requires a degree of tact and diplomacy when dealing with others and handling sensitive issues.

Maintains confidentiality and keep appropriate people informed.

The job has indirect impact by assisting more senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring computation methods.

The impact is related to the quality and timeliness of execution.

Develop a knowledge of business principles, industry practices and standards and knowledge of direct competitors

Accountable for team s activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop procedures.

Authority to stop work on any safety related concerns.

Authority to approve Employee expense report, if applicable.

General knowledge of Oil and Gas production, hydrocarbon processing and oil/water separation.

PC Skills and working knowledge of engineering software packages such as CAD packages, MathCAD.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience in Oil & Gas industry.

Experience in Subsea Industry.

Knowledge on relevant industry standards, like API, ASME/ANSI, NACE, etc.

• SAP experience.


• Knowledge on Hydraulics and P&ID s.


• Thorough knowledge on GD&T Principles and application.
