As the Design Authority within the Indian Operations Centre (INOPC), you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities related to projects of low and medium complexity. Your main objective will be to complete assignments cost-effectively and in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will work on small projects or segments of larger projects, focusing on tasks such as preparing Protection & Principle SLDs, schematics, power supply schemes, substation layouts, and sections, as well as standard technical specifications for major equipment. Additionally, you will engage in R&D activities to enhance work processes, compare different solutions, create bills of materials, and estimate engineering hours, among other responsibilities. Your role will require close collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Engineering Manager, Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Product Manager, Project Managers, SCM, and consultants. You will provide essential support in each project and tender, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery of engineering tasks. Furthermore, you will be involved in customer interactions, attending meetings, addressing customer needs, and enhancing overall customer experience. As part of your duties, you will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with customers for engineering activities, actively participate in customer meetings, and manage technical issues in collaboration with the Project Manager. You will lead, supervise, and coordinate the engineering project team, ensuring adherence to project scopes, schedules, approvals, budgets, and resource allocation. Regularly conducting engineering project reviews, reporting progress to the Engineering and Project Managers, and liaising with suppliers for technical support will also be key aspects of your role. Moreover, you will be responsible for mentoring and developing project engineers and designers to maximize their potential. You will oversee the preparation of various engineering deliverables, including plant layouts, civil designs, grounding and lightning protection calculations, installation drawings, steel designs, and equipment specifications. Your expertise in handling AIS & GIS projects, familiarity with international standards such as IEC and IEEE, and proficiency in CAD design tools will be essential in executing your responsibilities effectively. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and possess 2 to 12 years of experience in substation tendering and project engineering activities. Proficiency in CAD design tools, knowledge of international standards, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude towards growth and collaboration are critical attributes for this position. Additionally, you should demonstrate a strong attention to detail, a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.,
