Secondary Design - Substation

As a Design Authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity at Hitachi Energy, your role involves completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will be responsible for preparing Protection principle Single Line Diagrams (SLD), substation layouts, sections, Bill of materials, RFQs, vendor offer vetting, and technical risk assessments based on technical specifications from end customers. Key Responsibilities: - Review Tender documents and prepare Design Intent Document - Prepare Protection SLD, schematic diagrams, trip matrix, Logics & Interlocks - Review and vet Vendor drawings and documents - Prepare relay ordering information, circuit diagrams, Cable Schedule, and BoQ estimation - Coordinate with various teams for project support Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - 5-8 years of experience in substation tendering and project engineering - Proficiency in CAD design tools and E3 - Knowledge of international standards such as IEEE, IEC - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently - Proactive mindset and willingness to grow within the organization At Hitachi Energy, you will be expected to demonstrate a high level of ownership, ensure compliance with regulations, and uphold the company's core values of safety and integrity.
