Job Title: Student Counselor (Fresher)Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and empathetic Student Counselor (Fresher) to join our institution. As a counselor, you will assist students in overcoming academic, personal, and social challenges while helping them grow into confident and responsible individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates passionate about student development and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing individual and group counseling sessions under the guidance of senior counselors or supervisors.
  • Support students with academic concerns such as study habits, exam stress, time management, and goal-setting.
  • Listen actively and provide emotional support to students facing personal or social issues.
  • Participate in planning and conducting student development programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
  • Maintain basic documentation of counseling sessions and student interactions while following confidentiality policies.
  • Observe and learn about identifying students in need of additional support or external referrals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and well-being.
  • Help promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or up to 1 year of internship/volunteer experience in educational or counseling settings.
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach.
  • Basic knowledge of counseling principles and ethics.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally under mentorship.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to relate well to children, teens, or young adults (depending on school level).
  • Awareness of student behavioral patterns and challenges.
  • Familiarity with mental health issues and basic intervention strategies.
  • Workshop facilitation or public speaking skills (preferred but not required).

Work Environment:

  • School or educational institution setting.
  • Regular working hours, with occasional events or parent meetings as needed.
  • Supportive supervision and opportunities for professional development.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher, Internship

Pay: ₹10,693.23 - ₹35,401.18 per month
