Student Counsellor

supports students with academic, personal, social, and career challenges by providing guidance, resources, and counseling sessions to foster their well-being and success. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating development plans, collaborating with parents and teachers, mediating conflicts, and maintaining confidential records. Essential skills for this role are strong communication, empathy, active listening, problem-solving, and the ability to establish rapport with students and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Direct Student Support: Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students experiencing academic, emotional, social, or behavioural issues.
• Academic Guidance: Assist students with course selection, setting academic goals, and developing strategies to improve academic performance.
• Career Development: Help students identify their interests, skills, and personalities to guide them in choosing suitable career paths and colleges.
• Resource Provision: Connect students and their families with appropriate external and internal resources, information, and support services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, school administrators, and other staff to develop and implement action plans for student improvement.
• Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts and help find resolutions between students, parents, and teachers.
• Assessment and Planning: Assess student skills, interests, and needs to create personalized academic and career development plans.
• Informational Outreach: Organize and conduct informational sessions for students on topics like college admissions, career planning, and personal development.
