Job Title: Structural Design Engineer (Dams/Hydropower Projects)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design of various civil structures associated with dams and hydropower projects, including:
  
• Gravity dams, arch dams, intake structures, spillways, tunnels, surge shafts, and powerhouses.
  
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, design calculations, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  
• Use structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, MIDAS, ANSYS, etc.
  
• Ensure designs meet relevant codes and standards (e.g., IS, BIS, USACE, ACI, ICOLD).
  
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including hydraulic, geotechnical, and electro-mechanical engineers for integrated designs.
  
• Participate in site visits, condition assessments, and design validation during different phases of the project.
  
• Provide support for structural rehabilitation and retrofitting of existing dam and hydropower infrastructure.
  
• Conduct structural safety assessments including seismic and stability analyses.
  
• Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and tender documents.
  
• Collaborate in preparing feasibility studies, Detailed Project Reports (DPR), and Design Review Reports.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory).
  
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related specialization (preferred).
  
• 5–10 years of experience in structural design for dams, hydropower, or other large infrastructure projects.
  
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and sound knowledge of design standards.
  
• Experience with reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structures.
  
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  
• Good communication and technical reporting skills.
