Job Title: Structural & Fluid Dynamics Engineer - Steel Industry Location: Pune (India) / Indianapolis (USA) Experience Required: 5 to 10 Years Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Global Exposure Job Description: We are hiring a skilled Structural & Fluid Dynamics Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize structural components and complex fluid systems for the steel industry. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge engineering tools , global projects, and technical training in the U.S. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with 3D modeling, FEA, CFD, and piping systems , and a strong foundation in ASME and API standards. Key Responsibilities: Design industrial structural components per ASME, AISC, and API standards . Perform FEA simulations (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN) to evaluate stress, deformation, and thermal performance. Conduct CFD analysis (Fluent, CFX, OpenFOAM) to optimize gas and liquid flow in piping and equipment. Develop mass and energy balance models to enhance system efficiency and off-gas recovery. Troubleshoot pressure drops, heat dissipation, and fluid flow challenges in industrial piping . Execute reverse engineering for existing equipment and propose upgrades. Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA . Present project outcomes clearly via PowerPoint, Excel , and technical reports. Collaborate with global teams on design reviews, cost optimization, and manufacturability. Desired Candidate Profile: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, or Aerospace Engineering 5+ years of experience in heavy industry or process plant design Proficient in 3D modeling (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD) Strong understanding of FEA, CFD, and piping design Familiar with reverse engineering , fabrication, and welding techniques Comfortable working on large-scale design drawings and assemblies Strong communication and analytical skills Valid passport is mandatory ; U.S. visa (B1/B2 or H1B) is a plus Willing to travel internationally for training or project support Preferred Certifications: ASME BPVC (Section VIII Pressure Vessels) API 650/620 (Storage Tank Design) CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional) FEA/CFD Professional Certification AWS Welding Certification (D1.1 / Section IX) Why Join Us: Competitive compensation based on expertise Sponsored technical training in the USA Opportunity to work on global engineering projects Full support for certifications and continued learning Health insurance coverage Fast-track career growth in a high-impact industrial role
