Job Title: ASME Certified Engineer - Pressure Vessels & Cryogenic Tank Design Location: Pune Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and ASME-certified engineer specializing in the design and development of pressure vessels, cryogenic tanks, sheet metal fabrication, and reverse engineering. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in industry-standard design methodologies, compliance with regulatory codes, and proficiency in CAD software to create high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop ASME-compliant pressure vessels and cryogenic tanks for industrial applications. Perform structural analysis and stress calculations for pressure vessels using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools. Utilize sheet metal fabrication techniques to design and manufacture customized components. Conduct reverse engineering processes for existing pressure vessels and tanks, developing detailed design specifications and improvements. Ensure all designs meet ASME BPVC, API, and other relevant international standards. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to optimize production and ensure design feasibility. Create detailed engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and specifications using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA. Provide technical support and recommendations to clients regarding design modifications and improvements. Stay updated with emerging technologies and advancements in the pressure vessel and cryogenic tank industry. Lead or support failure analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement of existing products Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. ASME certification (BPVC Section VIII) is mandatory. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing pressure vessels, cryogenic tanks, and sheet metal components. Strong proficiency in FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent software. Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Inventor) for 3D modeling and drafting. Knowledge of material selection, welding techniques, and fabrication processes for pressure vessels. Understanding of industry codes and regulations such as ASME BPVC, API 650/620, and PED. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CFD software for thermal and fluid flow analysis. Knowledge of cryogenic insulation techniques and materials. Prior experience in conducting third-party inspections and audits for ASME compliance.
