Structural Drafter

As a Structural Drafter at ProDes Consulting Engineers, you will be responsible for preparing structural drawings and documentation for Class 1 residential projects, including slabs, frames, steelwork, footings, and retaining walls. Your role will involve working closely with engineers and team leaders to produce accurate and buildable drawings, interpreting mark-ups and design sketches, coordinating revisions based on client and engineering feedback, and maintaining drawing standards and quality assurance procedures. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Australian office using online communication tools. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma or Certificate in Civil/Structural Drafting (or equivalent), possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural drafting, and have prior experience with Australian residential projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and experience with Revit is a bonus. You should also be familiar with structural elements such as slabs, frames, footings, and bracing, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently. Good written and spoken English skills are essential for effective communication with overseas teams.
