Structural Drafter

As a Structural Drafter at ProDes Consulting Engineers, you will be responsible for preparing structural drawings and documentation for Class 1 residential projects, including slabs, frames, steelwork, footings, and retaining walls. Your role will involve working closely with engineers and team leaders to ensure the accuracy and buildability of the drawings. You will interpret mark-ups and design sketches from engineers, coordinate revisions based on client and engineering feedback, and maintain drawing standards and quality assurance procedures. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Australian office using online communication tools. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma or Certificate in Civil/Structural Drafting (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural drafting. Prior experience with Australian residential projects is highly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and experience with Revit is considered a bonus. You should be familiar with structural elements such as slabs, frames, footings, and bracing, demonstrating strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Good written and spoken English skills are essential for effective communication with overseas teams.
