Capri Global Capital Limited seeks strategic talent to join as Strategy Lead - Gold Loans reporting to the Chief Business Officer (CBO). This is a critical role with responsibility for driving transformational growth across the Gold Loans vertical at an enterprise level. The Strategy Lead will work with CBO to shape product strategy, market expansion, and operational excellence across all geographies while maintaining focus on profitability, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
This is a high-impact position requiring sharp analytical acumen, consulting-level strategic thinking, and deep understanding of financial services. The successful candidate will be responsible to drive and lead initiatives that define Capri's competitive positioning in the rapidly growing gold lending market.
- To work with CBO 3-5 year strategy for Gold Loans vertical, encompassing AUM growth targets, profitability roadmap, market penetration plans, and product innovation initiatives at national level.
- Conduct rigorous market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer segmentation studies to identify growth opportunities across geographies and customer segments.
- Create actionable business plans with clear KPIs, milestones, and resource allocation for national rollout and regional customization.
- Present strategic recommendations to CBO with data-driven insights and financial impact assessments Business Development & Growth.
- Provide inputs to CBO on expansion strategy including branch network optimization, new market entry strategy, and channel partnerships across India.
- Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities with fintech platforms, digital channels, banks, and alternative distribution networks to augment customer acquisition.
- Assist CBO in driving revenue growth through product enhancements, pricing optimization, cross-sell/upsell strategies, and customer lifecycle management.
- Assist CBO in driving P&L and growth initiatives and ensure accountability through performance tracking and course correction mechanisms.
- Analyse Research and present new gold lending products tailored to emerging customer segments (digital-first customers, high-net-worth individuals, SME segments).
- Evaluate and recommend technology integration opportunities including digital onboarding, AI-powered credit assessment, and blockchain-based collateral management.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives to improve operational margins while maintaining service quality standards.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to keep Capri ahead of market evolution.
- Own business intelligence dashboards tracking AUM, customer acquisition, NPA rates, operational efficiency, and profitability metrics.
- Conduct deep-dive root cause analysis on performance gaps and implement corrective measures.
- Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with regional teams and stakeholders.
- Develop predictive models for customer behavior, market demand, and portfolio performance.
- Full-time MBA from Tier 1 B-Schools ONLY(Batch Passout: 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023 (post-MBA)/ CA.
- Consulting Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of full-time work experience at Tier 1 Business Consulting Firms.
- Financial Services sector (BFSI)

- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of P&L dynamics, unit economics, capital efficiency, and business sustainability.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, scenario modeling, advanced formulas).
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI / Tableau for data visualization and dashboarding.
- Experience with financial modeling (DCF, sensitivity analysis, scenario building).
- SQL or Python for data manipulation preferred (not mandatory but valued).
- Prior experience with gold lending, secured lending, or collateral-based products.
- Exposure to NBFC operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Track record of driving business growth from 0 to 1 or scaling existing businesses.
- Experience working with technology platforms, APIs, and digital transformation.
- Familiarity with Indian financial services landscape and consumer lending dynamics.
- Previous experience at lending NBFCs, fintech startups, or digital financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity and drive results in fast-paced environments.
Success in this role will be measured by:
1. AUM Growth: Achieve and exceed assigned Gold Loans AUM growth targets (year-on-year basis).
2. Portfolio Quality: Maintain or reduce NPA rate to industry-best benchmarks; ensure credit quality through robust underwriting.
3. Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Optimize CAC while scaling customer base across markets.
4. Operational Efficiency: Improve operational metrics including cost-to-income ratio, turnaround time, and process automation.
5. Product Innovation: Launch minimum 1-2 new products or product enhancements annually with measurable market uptake.
6. Market Penetration: Expand Gold Loans presence to new geographies and customer segments as per strategy.
7. Stakeholder Impact: Deliver actionable strategic recommendations that influence CBO/Board-level decisions.
8. Team Development: Build a high-performing strategic team with clear career progression.
