Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated STP Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of our Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The ideal candidate should have 23 years of hands-on experience in sewage treatment, plant operation, troubleshooting, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain STP equipment including pumps, blowers, filters, dosing systems, aeration tanks, clarifiers, and sludge management systems.
  
• Ensure smooth running of the plant and maintain optimal efficiency of treatment processes.
  
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance checks to avoid downtime.
  
• Monitor and record operational parameters such as pH, DO, MLSS, COD, BOD, and turbidity.
  
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues and coordinate repairs as required.
  
• Maintain chemical handling, dosing schedules, and inventory for treatment processes.
  
• Ensure treated water meets statutory discharge standards and regulatory compliance.
  
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on STP performance, logbooks, and chemical consumption.
  
• Supervise STP operators, vendors, and contractors when necessary.
  
• Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and environmental protocols at the plant.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  
• 23 years of hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants (preferably SBR/MBBR/MBR technologies).
  
• Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, lab analysis, and troubleshooting.
  
• Proficiency in using STP control systems and SCADA (if applicable).
  
• Good communication skills and ability to maintain records & documentation.
  
• Working knowledge of safety procedures and statutory compliance norms.
