Stores Executive

The roles and responsibilities of a storekeeper typically include:

1. Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Order new stock as needed and ensure optimal inventory levels.

2. Receiving Goods:

• Verify and inspect incoming goods for quantity, quality, and condition.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for received items.

3. Storage and Organization:

• Properly label and store items to ensure easy retrieval and avoid damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage area.

4. Issuing Goods:

• Process and fulfill requisitions for materials or products.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of issued items.

5. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate logs of all transactions, including receipts and issues of inventory.
• Update inventory management systems regularly.

6. Safety and Compliance:

• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding storage and handling of goods.

7. Reporting:

• Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, stock levels, and other relevant metrics.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory.

8. Coordination and Communication:

• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement officers, and other departments for smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.

9. Quality Control:

• Ensure the quality of stored items by monitoring expiry dates and conditions.
• Implement procedures for handling defective or damaged goods.

• Identify and implement improvements in storage processes and systems.
