Job Summary:

The Store Manager will be responsible for managing all store operations related to material receipt, storage, inventory control, and issue of components, spare parts, and consumables used in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical machinery. The role involves ensuring accuracy, timely availability of materials, adherence to quality and safety standards, and effective coordination with the production, purchase, and quality departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Management

  • Oversee receipt, verification, and proper storage of raw materials, mechanical components, electrical parts, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials in ERP / inventory management systems.
  • Ensure FIFO / FEFO methods are followed for inventory movement.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation with accounts and purchase departments.

2. Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure optimum inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or surplus items and coordinate for appropriate disposal or reallocation.
  • Prepare and submit regular inventory reports and MIS to management.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with the purchase team for timely material procurement based on production requirements.
  • Work closely with production and planning departments to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
  • Liaise with quality control for incoming material inspection and rejection handling.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and handling of materials as per safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment.
  • Comply with internal audit, ISO, and GMP requirements relevant to the pharma machinery industry.

5. Team Management

  • Supervise store personnel, assign duties, and monitor performance.
  • Train team members on ERP usage, safety practices, and material handling procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum

    5-10 years

    of experience in stores or inventory management, preferably in

    pharma machine manufacturing

    or

    engineering industry

    .
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime / any inventory module).
  • Strong knowledge of storekeeping, inventory control, and documentation.
  • Good communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
