Storage Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of the Distributed Infrastructure & Data Services (DI&DS) team at American Express, specifically focusing on Storage infrastructure engineering, solutioning, builds, and operations support. Your role will involve handling Storage engineering and build administration activities to meet the Data Storage requirements and growth of enterprise application teams and customers. Key Responsibilities: - Manage delivery, infrastructure builds, and administration of Storage solutions including SAN, NAS, Object, Backup, and Software-defined Storage. - Drive automation development for routine tasks like provisioning, monitoring, and enhancing customer experience. - Monitor capacity, performance, reporting, and availability of enterprise Storage solutions. - Resolve Storage infrastructure issues and perform system changes including maintenance and upgrades. - Conduct due diligence on new Storage products, solutions, and tools, and ensure compliance with AXP policies and standards. - Execute Storage infrastructure projects to improve availability, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. Qualification Required: - Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing NAS, SAN, MDS/FC, Backups, and Object Storage products. - Proficiency in enterprise Storage Management tools and automation platforms. - Bachelor's degree in computer science/management information systems or equivalent experience. - Strong technical knowledge of Storage products, switching, protocols, and scripting languages. Note: The schedule may involve a non-standard work week to ensure 24x7 coverage.
