Job Description

Installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of storage systems. Likely includes provisioning LUNs, managing RAID groups, and configuring storage pools. SAN & NAS Infrastructure Managing Fibre Channel (FC) fabrics, zoning, and NAS shares. Experience with Brocade or Cisco SAN switches would be valuable. Troubleshooting & Optimization Performance tuning, latency analysis, and resolving connectivity issues. Tools like Unisphere (for Unity), Unisphere for VMAX, and Pure1 (for Pure Storage) are commonly used. Automation & Scripting Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or shell scripts to automate tasks like provisioning or reporting. Collaboration & Documentation Working with backup, virtualization, and network teams. Maintaining runbooks, architecture diagrams, and audit logs. Primary Skills Dell EMC Unity & VMAX (and possibly PowerMax) EMC UnityMidrange storage, Unisphere GUI, FAST VP, snapshots, replication. EMC Isilon VMAX/PowerMaxEnterprise-class, SRDF, TimeFinder, Solutions Enabler CLI. Pure Storage (e.g., FlashArray X70) Known for simplicity and performance. Experience with Purity OS, snapshots, replication, and Pure1 for monitoring.
