Job Description

As a Thermodynamic Engineer (m/f/d) at Siemens Energy, your role is crucial in supporting projects for large steam turbine proposals. You will collaborate closely with various departments to overcome technical challenges and ensure the feasibility of new apparatus projects. Your contributions will play a significant role from the initial concept phase to the successful handover to the execution team. In an open and supportive team culture, you will have the opportunity to implement creative solutions and apply your expertise effectively. Your optimizations will not only enhance the performance of steam turbines but also contribute to increasing customer satisfaction, essential for project success. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform thermodynamic calculations for large steam turbines with a focus on Combined Cycle Power Plants - Develop technical concepts during the pre-acquisition and proposal phases, considering evaluation criteria and economic boundary conditions - Select and design steam turbines and related components to meet customer requirements and ensure technical feasibility - Collaborate closely with other departments such as R&D, portfolio management, project execution, sales, and proposal team during negotiations and technical clarifications - Create performance guarantees, project-specific curves, and provide input for the calculation of steam turbine costs and contingencies - Review and comment on customer specifications regarding performance-relevant aspects of steam turbines **Qualifications Required:** - Successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering, energy technology, process engineering, or a related field - Foundational knowledge in thermodynamics, particularly related to steam turbines - First-hand experience with thermodynamic calculation tools is advantageous - Self-initiative, resilience, engagement, and effective collaboration skills within a global team - Fluent in English, both written and spoken - Strong teamwork and communication skills in an interdisciplinary and global work environment Siemens Energy offers a dynamic and future-oriented role based at Site (Gurgaon), with opportunities to travel to various locations in India and beyond.
